How did they effect you work??
- Lisa Evans - I looked at her work because i think the cuteness of her work but what i took from looking at her work was her ability to create a forest like seine with mini characters with in then but not over crowding them image. which is something i needed when creating the final illustrations for hot house, i needed to have the characters and the big forest come together but not let one over shadow the other.
- Dah ah Kim - I looked at this work initially for it collage element I like the complexity and layering of the images, but what i took from her work to help me was a different way to create a forest but still have all the main elements visible.
- Mayuko Fujino - Again like with Kim's work i looked at her work because of the collaging with in it But what i really like was that the collage was magazine pages that are relevant to the image, which i then applied to some of my work illustrating the density of the forest in hot house.
- Meredith Dittmar - As i said in my research page for Dittmar i love her work but i couldn't find away to apply her techniques with in my illustration because my own technique was developing, but what i did take from her work was the ability to build up layer after layer of forest foliage, with a colour pallet which was consistent with each plant or tree on my page.
- Kenichi Yokono - With his work it was the same as with Dittmer's i could apply his way of working with my own so i took it a just what is the image, the fact that the image has such a dense forest life around the character but that the character is still the main focus point.
- Bjorn Rune Lie - I liked the technique that he used to form his space like image and i wanted to be able to create something similar to this with Hot Houses spaces chapters.
