Relavent artist for illustration

After looking through all my researched artists, I narrowed them down to 6 artist that would help further my own work in my illustration lessons.

  1. Lisa Evans
  2. Dan ah Kim
  3. Mayuko Fujino
  4. Meredith Dittmar
  5. Kenichi Yokono
  6. Bjorn Rune Lie

How did they effect you work??

  1. Lisa Evans - I looked at her work because i think the cuteness of her work but what i took from looking at her work was her ability to create a forest like seine with mini characters with in then  but not over crowding them image. which is something i needed when creating the final illustrations for hot house, i needed to have the characters and the big forest come together but not let one over shadow the other.
  2. Dah ah Kim - I looked at this work initially for it collage element I like the complexity and layering of the images, but what i took from her work to help me was a different way to create a forest but still have all the main elements visible.
  3.  Mayuko Fujino - Again like with Kim's work i looked at her work because of the collaging with in it But what i really like was that the collage was magazine pages that are relevant to the image, which i then applied to some of my work illustrating the density of the forest in hot house.
  4. Meredith Dittmar - As i said in my research page for Dittmar i love her work but i couldn't find away to apply her techniques with in my illustration because my own technique was developing, but what i did take from her work was the ability to build up layer after layer of forest foliage, with a colour pallet which was consistent with each plant or tree on my page.
  5. Kenichi Yokono - With his work it was the same as with Dittmer's i could apply his way of working with my own so i took it a just what is the image, the fact that the image has such a dense forest life around the character but that the character is still the main focus point.
  6. Bjorn Rune Lie - I liked the technique that he used to form his space like image and i wanted to be able to create something similar to this with Hot Houses spaces chapters.
