Issey Miyake

• Born 22 April 1938. 
• Japanese fashion designer. 
• Known for his technology driven clothing designs. 
• 1970 he founded the Miyake design studio, a high end produces of women's fashion. 
• 1980s he experimented with new pleating methods, to allow flexibility and movement resulting in a new technique called, Garment pleating. Which he used in a costume for Ballett Frankfurt. 
• In 2007 he opened his our brand. 
• He was friends with Steve Jobs, and produced the black turtleneck that he was known for wearing, "so i asked Issey to make me some of his turtlenecks that I liked and he made me like a hundred of them!".

I fine his work really interesting to look at, especially the paper inspired ones and the pleats that where placed into them and sort of like with Watanabe i don't kind it amazing but i do think that it is very visually different and therefore I can appreciate his designs more.
