Germaine Richier   

• Sep 16th 1902- July 21th 1959 
• She is a French sculptor, from  Grans near Arles.
• Her main works combines classical forms to make human and animal hybrids.
• As 1940, world war two, her sculptures became less figurative, more of bats, toads, spiders est. then crossed with human figures. 

  I fined her work interesting to look at i like the texture with in her sculptures but i don't fined them visually appealing but like to think that because of the time period that she created them that she didn't want to create beautiful piece of work because it didn't reflect the environment that she had to live with in.
